Part Time

Holding Area Attendant

 

The Town of Richmond has an immediate opening for a part-time Holding Area Attendant.  Employee will perform practical work involving the operations and maintenance of the Town Holding Station/Area facility, all operational records, assisting in the practical work at the station and dealing with the Richmond and Dresden residents, and various vendors, who will deposit or pick up authorized materials at the facility.  Successful candidate must agree to a traffic and criminal background check.

JOB OPENING

ON-CALL TEMPORARY

PLOW TRUCK DRIVER

 

The Town of Richmond is seeking a qualified applicant for an on-call temporary (November 1st-April 1st) plow truck driver with the Richmond Public Works Department.  A valid Class 2 Maine commercial driver’s license is required.  Experience in plowing and operating heavy trucks is necessary.  The final candidate must successfully pass a physical evaluation/pre hiring controlled substance abuse test, and must agree to a traffic and criminal background check.

Town of Richmond: Call Firefighter

Richmond Fire Department is seeking applicants for the positions of firefighters and driver/operators. Richmond Fire annually responds to 200+ calls per year that range from fire suppression, vehicle accidents, and various service calls. Duties also include fire prevention and community events. Work performance requires initiative and a thorough understanding of firefighting methods as learned from on the job and in training. Richmond Fire will provide training to certify any new member as a Firefighter and/or driver/operator.

Position requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have a high school diploma, GED, or currently be enrolled in a secondary education program. Must hold and maintain a valid Maine driver's license. Must pass a pre-employment physical exam and background check. The person filling these positions must be mature, honest, compassionate, able to work well with others, and willing and able to interact positively with the public. The candidate must be prepared to respond to Fire calls in all types of weather, day or night. Due to the geography of the community the candidate must be prepared for emergencies in rivers, streams, ponds, residential/commercial neighborhoods, highways, and mutual aid communities.
