The Public Works Department is made up of a four-man crew. They are responsible for maintaining approximately 36 miles of road in the summer and approximately 48 miles of road which needs to be plowed and sanded in the winter. There is still approximately 8 miles of gravel road in Richmond.

Our roads are normally posted for heavy traffic from the end of February until the beginning of May.

There is a parking ban in effect from November 15th thru April 15th from 11:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. every year. Your cooperation in observing this is greatly appreciated.

New driveway entrance permits may be obtained from the CEO at the Town Office or on the Code Enforcement page of this web site. The property owner is responsible for purchasing the first culvert and Public Works will install and maintain culverts after that.

Public Works is responsible for maintaining street signs.
