ON CALL-SEASONAL PLOW DRIVER POSITION


The Town of Richmond is seeking qualified applicants for an on-call position with the Richmond Public Works Department.   A valid Class 2 Maine commercial driver’s license is desirable.  Experience in operating heavy trucks, snow plowing, general vehicle repair & maintenance.   The final candidates must successfully pass a physical evaluation/pre-hiring-controlled substance abuse test and must agree to a traffic and criminal background check.

The Town of Richmond is seeking innovative, community-oriented candidates for the position of Patrol Officer. The Richmond Police Department is seeking qualified, motivated, individual for the position of Part-Time Police Officer.  Interested candidates must hold a valid Maine driver’s license and possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.  Candidates are required to successfully complete a personal interview, thorough background investigation. We offer highly competitive pay and will be based on level of Maine Criminal Justice Academy certifications and individual experience.

The Richmond Fire Department is seeking EMR’s and above to fill the department's on-call schedule that is broken into 6 hour blocks.  Richmond Fire Department is a paid-per-call department that answers approximately 600 calls per year for service providing EMS non-transport first responder service, as well as fire suppression, vehicle extrication, water rescue and emergency management services to a rural/suburban community of 3,400.  The department compensates at an hourly rate as well as offers on call stipend.  The department provides living quarters when on call for those that live out of town.   • SUBSTITUTE LIBRARY CLERKS

  • The Isaac F. Umberhine Public Library is seeking two friendly individuals with excellent customer service skills and accurate computer skills to substitute at the library. This position is part time, on call as needed - flexibility strongly preferred (no more than 20 hours in any one week). Starting Pay: $16.00 per hour.


    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. The ideal candidates will be lifelong learners who enjoy acquiring new skills. Applicants should possess a high level of internet and computer skills and an interest in learning about and being a part of the services offered by the library. Other requirements include working cooperatively with other staff, quickly learning library policies, procedures, and software; and working well with library users of all ages and diverse backgrounds. Familiarity with and interest in reading, adult and children's literature, eBooks and/or mobile devices is helpful.


    WORK ACTIVITIES:  Duties will include assisting members of the public, across all age groups, locate and use the library's print and digital resources, shelving books, performing lending services and cash transactions, assisting with computer and mobile device support, and answering research questions and library inquiries in person or by phone. The Isaac F. Umberhine Public Library is open Tues 2pm-8pm, Wed 9am-2pm, Thurs 2pm-8pm, and Saturday 9am-12noon.
